Sand Lake Elementary is a vibrant and successfully diverse school located in southwest Anchorage on the shores of beautiful Sand Lake. Our school is home to both a traditional neighborhood program and a Japanese Immersion program. While Sand Lake is the largest of the district’s elementary schools, the sense of community gives it the feel of a much smaller school. Students are supported by a variety of programs and services including special education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech, English Language Learners support and Migrant Education.
