Kasuun Elementary provides a rigorous academic environment in a traditional K-5 school setting. We also have a special education preschool and the IGNITE gifted program as a part of our school family. Respect and responsibility are the cornerstone characteristics that form the foundation for everything we do. Staff, students and our community have a sense of pride about our school, and it shows.

Reading is a primary focus in our instruction. We encourage our students and parents to take time out every evening and read for at least 20 minutes as a family. Through the use of the various online reading programs, our students are becoming independent and lifelong readers. As a result, our students love to read. 

Our commitment to prepare our students for the future has helped us focus on computer training that teaches a sequence of skills our students will need in the advanced grades. They also gain environmental awareness, taking part in our "outdoor classroom" at the Campbell Creek Science Center, which is within walking distance.
