About our school

A richly diverse student population attends North Star’s preschool-fifth grade program. Students are supported by highly qualified teachers and paraprofessionals, and benefit from multiple special programs, including 21st Century Learning Center after-school tutoring, Indian Education, a neighborhood preschool, bilingual tutors and a fully-staffed bilingual learning lab. In addition, North Star serves students who experience autism in pre-school to 6th grade. A full-time counselor and nurse are also on staff.

North Star is a Title 1 school that qualifies all children for free breakfast and lunch. The Title ! model ensures that there is additional support to meet student's individual academic needs.
